Troubleshooting Travian Toolbox messages

Every message the extension can show, what it means, and what to do about it.

Membership messages

Message	Meaning	What to do
Open the extension from inside the game	The extension does not know which Travian account you want to buy or try for.	Log in to Travian, open any game page, then click the extension icon again.
Cannot read your player name	The page in front of you does not show a player name.	Open a game page (your village, the map) and press Re-detect.
This Travian account is not linked to your account	You have no membership for this player on this server.	Buy one or ask for the trial. See Accounts & memberships.
Your request is under review	We have your subscription or trial request.	Nothing. Activation is manual and we message you. You can also pay now with PayPal.
Membership expired	This account's membership has run out.	Press Renew with PayPal or Renew membership.
Membership cancelled	This membership was cancelled.	Message us and we will sort it out.
Account already registered	This Travian account is on another customer's membership.	Sign in with the account that holds it. One Travian account can only ever belong to one membership.
The free trial has already been used on this account	Each Travian account gets one trial.	Buy a membership instead.
Cannot reach the server	The licence server did not answer.	Check your connection. The tools keep working for up to 72 hours of grace.
Too many checks	Many checks in a short time.	Wait a moment and try again.
Something went wrong	An unexpected error while checking.	Try again in a moment. If it persists, contact us.

Sitter messages (This account is covered by…, Waiting for… to approve you, Sitter access is off) are explained in Sitters.

Message	What to do
Wrong email or password.	Check both, or use Forgot password.
Too many attempts — wait a minute and try again.	Wait a minute before the next try.
Cannot reach the server. Check your connection.	Check your internet connection.
Google sign-in failed.	Try again, or sign in with email and password.
That code is wrong or has expired. Ask for a new one.	Press Send a new code and use the newest email.

Note — The password reset screen always says a code is on its way if the address has an account. This is on purpose: it never reveals whether an email is registered.

Detection

Message	What to do
Open a Travian page first.	The active tab is not a Travian server. Switch to your game tab.
No active tab.	Click into your game tab and open the extension again.
No active village found — open the village list.	Open a page that shows your village list, then Re-detect.
Could not read the village coordinates.	Reload the game page and Re-detect.
Could not detect the server.	Reload the game page and Re-detect.
Extension is not responding — try reloading it.	Go to `chrome://extensions` and reload Travian Toolbox, or restart Chrome.

Inactive finder

Message	What to do
Check the highlighted ranges.	A minimum is above its maximum. Fix the highlighted fields.
A scrape is already running.	Wait for it to finish or press Stop.
The page took too long to load.	Travian was slow. Run the scrape again.
Could not read the farm lists.	Open the farm list page once by hand and try again.
inactivesearch.com is not reachable.	The search site is down or blocked. Try again later.
N raid lists were collapsed and not read	Turn on Open the raid lists automatically, or open the lists yourself before scraping.
Could not read that file.	Load from text needs a file made with Save to text.

Raid analysis

Message	What to do
Open the rally point first, or use Full read.	Refresh reads the page you are on; go to the rally point, or press Full read.
Your Travian session has expired — log in again.	Log back into Travian and read again.
Could not read the rally point.	Reload the rally point and try again.
No raid history yet (report page)	Press Refresh or Full read at the rally point. The report fills in as the history grows.
No Travian account detected (report page)	Open the extension on a Travian tab first, then open the report from Raid analysis.
The raid history could not be read (report page)	The browser blocked the extension's local storage. Private windows and blocked site data do this.

Oasis search

Message	What to do
Nothing collected yet	Open the map in Travian and pan around your village.
No Travian server known yet — open the map once.	Open the Travian map so the extension learns your server.
Needs a village — open the map once	Distances need your village position. Open the map once.
