Oasis / animals search

Collect oases by panning the map, then filter, rank and open the ones worth clearing.

The oasis search lists the oases around you with the beasts on them, what clearing them pays and how hard they defend, so you can find the ones your troops can take.

Collecting oases

The list fills itself as you pan the Travian map. The map already loads what is on each tile; the extension reads what the game is sent, so there is nothing to switch on and no extra requests.

  1. Open the map in Travian. The Map button in the tool opens it zoomed out for you.
  2. Pan around your village. Every oasis you pass over is collected.
  3. Open the tool to see the list.

There are two ways into the tool:

  • Animal search in the popup.
  • The Oasis beasts button added to the end of the map's own toolbar. It opens the tool in a floating window over the map, so you can keep panning while the list updates. The window can be minimised and restored.

The filter strip

Control What it does
Filters Opens a sheet with every filter. The number beside it counts how many are active.
Sort Ranks whatever the filters leave.
Reset Clears every filter.

Filters

Filter What it does
Oasis The resource each oasis boosts. Pick the ones you are short of, or leave All.
Beasts One chip per animal actually found on your map, coloured by how hard it is to clear: green you can take now, gold needs more, red needs an army. The number on a chip is how many oases hold that animal.
Match Contains any keeps oases holding any of the chosen beasts, even beside an elephant. Only these keeps oases with nothing on them you did not pick, which is how you ask what your troops can actually clear.
Count Range for the total number of beasts. A from of 1 hides cleared oases; a to keeps the list to what one wave can finish.
Fields Range for the distance from your village, in fields. Needs a detected village.
Also show cleared oases Shows oases with no beasts. They pay nothing but are free to take when you want one to annex. They still obey the type and distance filters and sit at the bottom of every ranking.
Updated only Hides readings older than the freshness window.
Consider fresh for The freshness window in minutes, 1 to 240. Default 2. The same number colours the age pill on every card.

Note — Beasts move and get killed, so a reading from half an hour ago may be wrong. Each card shows how old its reading is and marks it Outdated past your freshness window. The list header shows the newest and oldest reading.

Sorting

Sort Ranks by
Nearest Fewest fields to walk.
Most beasts The biggest fight, not the biggest prize.
Most loot What the oasis pays. Every animal is worth resources, from 40 each for a rat to 200 for an elephant.
Best value Loot divided by how hard the oasis defends. It finds the weakest oases paying the most: thirty rats beat four elephants.

The oasis cards

Each card shows:

  • The oasis type, its coordinates and its distance in fields.
  • Each beast and how many.
  • Loot: about how much of each resource it pays, and the total if every beast falls.
  • Defence: how much defence there is to grind down, averaged over infantry and cavalry.
  • When it was last raided, or Never raided.
  • How old the reading is.
  • Visit oasis to open it in the game.

Opening oases in batches

Control What it does
Select all / Clear selection Ticks or unticks every oasis in the list.
Open selected (N) Opens the ticked oases in background tabs.
Open all (N) Opens every oasis the filters leave.

Opening more than 10 tabs at once asks you to confirm first. If some selected oases are hidden by a filter, the tool tells you.

Clear empties the collected list so you can start fresh.

The first time you open the filters, a short tour explains each one. Got it moves to the next card, Skip all ends the tour.
